    Default Brescian Mandolin prototype

    I am definitely learning as I build this prototype.
    Many of my dimensions are working, but I have learned a lot after reading Woll's book on classical mandolins. Thanks again to Sebastiaan for the book referral.
    The English term for this is probably Brescian Mandolin rather than Mandolindo Bresicano.
    (No offence to the Italian Luthiers that developed and perfected this wonderful instrument).
    Here are a couple of mock-up pictures. I am making a different soundboard with a sound hole with better proportions:
