    Default Multi track recorder

I have been using a Tascam DR05 for my personal recording for years. Recently interested in recording several tracks. Some say that can be done on the one I have and even give page numbers in the instruction manual but that must be a different version than I have. Have been looking at Tascam DP0006 but wondering about peoples opinions for a low cost option. Personal use only not trying to record cd's or anything like that. Thanks

It's a solid little recorder. has built in mics and can run on battires....Doubt you could want anything more for what your looking to do.
    Good luck with it

I like the Zoom R8, though it is significantly more expensive:

Looks like Sweetwater has the 4 track Tascam plus mike and phones on sale (NFI) - deal ends April 30.

I used Tascams for many years until they finally got on my last nerve (although the cassette versions were more user-friendly than the digital ones).

Now I use Audacity on my PC with a $50 Behringer interface. "Works a treat," as the Brits like to say.
