Terrific, Tom! Great playing and writing— they're your tunes, right? Plus a really fine band sound.

Re: Video Concert Tonight
Thanks. Last two were covers, a retro Zappa-ish melody from my band days in the 70s, which I played on guitar back then. Much better fit to 5-course mando.
Last tune was a baião by Jovino Santos Neto. I met him at Centrum Choro, heard that tune, and he sent me the chart for "Pontapé".
I'll be posting the video to my YouTube channel.

Re: Video Concert Tonight
Hi,
Just watched the concert on YouTube. Thought everything about it was excellent. Nice to see the electric mandolin as a lead instrument, but each musician was excellent and you came together brilliantly. I am usually disappointed when jazz bands play original material (given the rich treasure trove of “standards”), but on this occasion had no complaint. The recently retired Pete Mallinson must be happy to see one of his instruments played to such great effect.
Regards,

Re: Video Concert Tonight
Thanks for watching, and the kind words.
The 10-string is a joy to play, although I am still exploring its tonal response. An amazingly comfortable neck, perfect fingerboard, and that deep cherry red is beautiful. Pete is an artist.
