Default Confused and Hard earned expensive advice

This post violates Forum posting guidelines.

    - Grievances, personal and corporate: The Cafe discussion forum is intended to be a nurturing community. While it is fair game discussing vendor corporate policies, public malevolent harassment of individuals, including posting names, email address, or any other personal contact information will not be tolerated. For example, a concern about a manufacturer's warranty policy or a reseller's return policy is permissible. Using the forum to malign or leverage personal advantage in a conflict is strictly forbidden. Though intent or motivation are not always provable, the moderators reserve full right in deeming whether or not comments made are consistent with policy, and may take action to edit, delete, or when necessary, revoke posting privileges.

In this case it's clear your intention here is striking back against the other party, not warning anyone. This kind of participation is not welcome here.

3 need to knows about all instrument transactions and repairs:

Buyers: If for any reason, you lay a tool upon an instrument that you are buying on approval, you void your approval rights.

Owners and Repair persons: If for any reason you lay a tool upon an instrument that is under warranty without acquiring authorization from the manufacturer, you void the warranty. Repair people should advise their customers of this before executing any repairs.

Retailers, buyers, repair people, and manufacturers: If for any reason you use language that implies that anyone should shove anything anywhere, you will erode your reputation with anyone who hears about the incident. Learn to be polite when you say no, even if the other party is not being polite.

Why not? Seems like there wasn't much 'quality control' when it went out the door the first time.

Just to get this out there, the OP has pretty much identified the builder and that's an issue but they really need to review the Posting Guidelines because we are real close here.
