    Default Washburn Bowlback Tailpiece

I'm looking for a tailpiece for a Washburn bowlback. The bowlback I have is a STYLE 220 c. 1906-1910. It has a non-original tailpiece. The part I'm looking for looks like this.
I don't know if this post should be in a different forum category.

Good luck with that, you'll likely have to watch ebay until something comes up. I don't think there are any replicas made sadly, but someone may know otherwise.

Here is a Washburn mandolin with the tailpiece you are looking for on eBay.....

If you can get it for under $100.oo that would be a steal.

Thanks Charley. I've been looking at that listing. I wrote to the seller but have not gotten a reply. If I do get it, I'll offer the tuners (or the entire instrument) back here for cheap.

Charley, I did win the bid on that Washburn bowlback. I'll take that tailpiece and maybe the pickguard. Not sure what I'll do with the carcass.

Good for you! I think you lucked out. If it is playable, maybe you could put your non-original one on it and resell it. Or make it a wall hanger.

Yeah, I will put the non-original (vintage) tailpiece on this Washburn. It's probably playable. We'll see in a week or so.
