Default What Happened to Dominick Leslie in Golden Highway?

I'm a big Dominick Leslie fan. I've ben checking out a lot of Youtube videos of him playing with Molly Tuttle's new band Golden Highway.

I've noticed he's missing from the most recent Youtube videos that Molly has uploaded.

Anyone know what happened? He quit the band?

I've been watching a lot of those Golden Highway videos since they started on tour.

Apparently he was skipping some dates due to playing with Hawktail. He has missed some dates and then come back and played more with Molly, so I don't think he quit, just missing when there are conflicts.

That's a good logical answer....but, I don't see Hawktail has played any gigs recently.

I don't really know. I asked in a Facebook group and that is what I was told. Of course it is possible it was another music project or the person who told me just got it wrong. Anyway, he did come back and play with them after I asked, so it does appear he hasn't left.

That entire band is terrific, but I would be a little disappointed if I went and Dominick was not there (I would still have a great time).

Maybe Hawktail is in the studio!

Happy to report Dominick was 100% present and accounted for with Molly and the band at DelFest this weekend! Molly also had some guy named Jerry Douglas sit in for her set. Keep an eye out for him, might be good.

    Thank you for the report.

I found this streamed session from the festival. Three songs worth watching:

    Thanks for the update Dave!

Those three tunes were very worth watching Sounds_Good!

But, now they are missing Kyle. I guess they can rant about that on Banjo Hangout

Resurrecting this old thread to note a couple items:

Hawktail did release a new record and they are now touring--they are opening for Nickel Creek in my town in May.

Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway has recorded a new album as well. I'm really happy about this, as I think not all of the "touring band" were the people that recorded the Crooked Tree album and I was really hoping that they would continue as a band. They are really great!

Name rings a bell. Didn't he used to back up some other female singer, Alice or Alison something or other? Hard to keep up, sometimes.
