    Default NMD: Morris F5 #482

Last weekend I took a trip down to Irrigon to visit Sonny Morris and take a look at his mandolins. He was such a nice guy and built some really nice mandolins - I really liked his A4 as well. This one, though, just sounded exactly the way I imagine a mandolin sounds in my head. It's beautiful too, the finish color reminds me of the old Gibsons. Overall, I'm over the moon with it and people commented on how much better I sounded playing it versus my Kentucky at a jam on Monday!

Congratulations! If I didn’t already have an F that one might have gone home with me a few weeks ago when I visited Sonny. Instead I bought the blue A4, the sound just blew me away.

Congrats! I pondered that one when he posted it. Sonny builds a great mandolin. I miss my Morris A5...
