Default Gone Away - a little ditty I wrote

Came up with this yesterday. Recorded in GarageBand with my Taylor 214ce plus and my month old Eastman MD315. The stand up bass is a GarageBand software instrument.

EDIT: I guess an mp3 doesn't just play when it's attached. Does it have to be downloaded by the listener?

What's the best way to share music? I don't currently have Soundcloud, ReverbNation, Facebook or any other social media except Instagram.

I went through something like that a couple weeks ago. My problem was the audio file wouldn't upload at all. So I whipped up a video in Windows Video Editor with some stills, uploaded that to youtube, and then posted that - which does play in place. Yes, it was a bit of work, and rather roundabout, but it was a solution. Plus for some reason, when I downloaded the video in RealPlayer, which gives the option of converting it to an mp3, that audio file did upload. But yes - these don't play in place. That would be nice.

Are you on iOS? I’ve posted a few mp3s here. I can never open them myself on my iPad, but others seem to have no problem. No idea why.

iMac desktop. I posted it and when I clicked to play it acted like it wanted to save to my computer.

I uploaded it again and it let's the listener download the song. I just want it to play/stream.

That's a catchy little tune Chris. What do you plan to do with it? I can certainly imagine a nice little harmony part and a guitar break. I'm sure a proper mastering would help.

Thanks Dave! I'm currently rehearsing other songs I've written (with lyrics) with friends with the plan to record an album. I'll try and squeeze this one in at a rehearsal and have the lead guitarist play the part. An accordion and fiddle would fit in too. We'll see what happens.

I took this mandolin instrumental and mashed it up with a song I wrote in Feb 2021. I changed the key and tempo and it fit right in. I recorded my first solo record, week before last. Oct 10 - 13, & 16. 2 songs on the record will have mandolin. This mandolin part will be in the song Long Winter Night which also has a killer pedal steel part. The studio will tell you real quick if you need to practice more and I do. The album should be ready in the net month or two.

    * I removed this song so the link no longer works.
