Default Enthusasiam for a very high end Octave Mandolin

Ben Wilborn makes some very cool and creative guitars. The main feature is the sound hole is part of the upper bout. Now he's made an octave mandolin.

It is similar to Brian Dean's Grand Concert design. Although I don't think Brian has made an octave...yet.

I love both of these concepts and I can't imagine such different approaches to building. But I'd sure like to play them.

The sound from that octave is beautiful.

That is a beautiful GOM, with a fantastic sound.

Brian has made OMs before, ages ago in fact. Not the Grand Concert style. I'm confident that if you have the time and money, he could build you what you're looking for.
