Default Anybody play that Givens Legacy at SoundPure?

The price is tempting for a hand built American mandolin, and I have been looking for an F-style.

But reports about tone for these are all over the map.

Haven't played the mandolin but I lived in Durham for a couple of years and bought 3 guitars from them. As long as you are willing to pay shipping back you can try it out with no risk. On my first purchase I couldn't decide between 2 Eastman archtops and they told me to take both home and bring back the one I didn't want. I had never experienced that level of customer service in my life. That mandolin may or may not be what you're after but SoundPure is 100% great to deal with.

You are probably aware of the difference between a Givens and Givens Legacy mandolin, if not there is a difference you should be aware of. That could be a nice mandolin.

Thank you. Yes, I am aware... I read everything I could find about it a week or two ago when I first saw it. Built by Steve Weill, Bob Given's former employee/assistant, etc.

I'd be glad to stop by and report back. But my three months of mandolin experience probably wouldn't cut it, as far as feedback.
