Re: Best Beginner Mandolin on a Budget?
I recently played maybe 5 of the new Recording King $200 mandolins at various Guitar center's and 1 played great, 1 was sort of acceptable and 3 were horribly setup but the good one was the only budget mandolin at GC that ever played well.
(and get Rob Meldrum's setup pdf e-book so you're prepared to take measurements and fit bridge etc if you need to)
