Re: Metallica: Enter Sandman Solo
Just in case you have any doubts about whether you're crazy for doing this - or if others say so - I want to say you're not alone in this. I used to throw the main riff from this into a song my old band used to do: Todd Snider's "Doublewide Blues." It's about life in a trailer park with all his oddball neighbors (among other things.) The third verse begins with the line, "Metallica song blastin' out from two trailers down." I wanted to quote something recognizable there, and had very short time to do so. That's what I came up with. Now and then some people in the crowd would get it. Anyway, lots of good riffing there.
But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong. - Dennis Miller
