Thread: OM string gauges question.

    Default OM string gauges question.

    I had a local luthier work on my OM a while back and he had replaced strings (among other things obviously).
    He wrote down the string gauges he recommends:
    .012 S
    .022 W
    .036 W
    .046 W

    What might the S and W be?
    Infact the letter on last one .046 is hard to decipher but I think he meant W.

    Either single or steel for the S & agree with matsukaze on wound for the W.

    Most people would refer to them as “Plain” rather than single or steel.
