Default A book on stringed instrument acoustics - The Caldersmith Papers

There being a spirited discussion elsewhere on the forum about various devices claimed to improve stringed instruments by artificially vibrating them, I thought a few people here might be interested in a new book that that collects the various articles written by the late Australian luthier Graham Caldersmith on guitar and violin acoustics. Nothing specifically on mandolins, but there is a lot of relevant information which may just help people better understand how stringed instruments make musical sounds. There is some info on my website.

where you can download the introductory chapter with a table of contents and a short bio of Graham Caldersmith.

    It is available from Amazon
    https://www.amazon.com/Caldersmith-P.../dp/0648588017

or any good bookshop in the US or Canada should be able to get you a copy from IPG (ipgbook.com) in Chicago.

Full disclosure - I am the publisher and sales may eventually make enough to take Graham Caldersmith's partner out for a nice dinner somewhere.
