Default 2018 Gibson Black Night info

Hi guys , I just signed up here to see if I can find out some info about my mandolin I just got … I play banjo and pedal steel , and just got this beauty in trade for one of my pedal steel guitars … I don’t know anything about it, and I can’t find much info on the internet about this model either … so every opinion or tip , would be welcomed … also I thought about buying nice Calton case for it as well … and also , I’d like to get in touch with Mr. Dave Harvey , gentleman who built it , if anyone has his contact info , I’d appreciate it …thanks …

That appears to be a limited edition model.
If you contact Dennis at The Mandolin Store, he will probably be able to answer at least some of your questions.
As one of only 3 independent US Gibson mandolin dealers, the instrument may very well have originally sold from his shop.

I believe this thread confirms that.

I saw that , this one wasn’t bought through TMS, it was ordered new from Dave , and I got it from the original owner , so I’m pretty sure that’s not the same mandolin … that’s about all info there is , as far as that model goes , that I could find at least

It appears to be a Gibson F5G model with an atypical color scheme.

Not quite the same but related, has anybody ever read of this Black Hills model – and its whereabouts? https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/t...ills-F-5-Proto
