    Default First ever tremolo

So even though I am still very much a beginner, this weekend I've been attending a Wernick Method Jam Camp. Two things have come out of it:

First, I've been playing double stops all over the neck like crazy all weekend. I can't do a 4-finger Monroe chop chord to save my life, but chop some double stops and it seems to work nearly as good as.

I managed to do my first ever tromolo, followed quickly by some tremolo scales. It's actually quite fun once you get the hang of it, and it seems to impress non-mandolin players.

Still very much a beginner, but I made actual, measurable progress as a player this weekend.

And I still have half a day tomorrow yet!
Eastman MD-514 (F body, Sitka & maple, oval hole)
    Klos Carbon Fiber (on order)

And still saving my nickels & dimes & bottle caps & breakfast cereal box tops for my lifetime mandolin.

Dan, It sounds like your playing progress at the camp has lit your fire for the mandolin even more! Love that enthusiasm.
