I really appreciate the ability of so many of you who post here. I would very much appreciate the posting of several, many pieces for the mandola (CGDA). It would be very helpful to see and hear!
thank you very much

Ha,ha, check my YouTube channel.
I actually only have an octave mandolin -a real mandolin is now out of my price-range as my proficiency on the octave has increased BUT I have posted a lot of tunes with capo at fifth fret.
Important to be aware that there is a debate about this though because some of the keys of the tunes get shifted to C major which would be a little more technical for an accompanying real mandolinist. My excuses for this are multiple: transposing from G to C on the fly is a very good skill to have, and I live in France where the diatonic accordions (melodeons or Anglo concertinas) are tuned to play C major.
So… I occasionally put the capo on the fifth fret and pretend it’s a real mandola.
I sometimes put the capo at seventh fret and drop down a course, but rarely go to fifth and transpose all my playing to be in the 'correct' key for accompanying mandolinists. As it is, one day I’ll get a really nice mandolin and I’ll immediately be able to play lots of tunes in the right key (it’s all in the fingering).
Ahhh… the mandola-ist's quandary!
At mandolintab.net you can get TAB for mandola BTW.
Here's a tune I wrote after I got my Girouard mandola. I named it for Max and Lauri.

Thank you tmsweeney! You do great and I appreciate you tunes! Nice instruments also! Thanks!
Although not in the Joe Walsh/Shlapanitsa/TM Sweeney league, I did a track a while ago in which I used the John Reischman trick of octave-stringing my dola, meaning it's still in CGDA, but I substituted one of the low C strings with a D from another set, and one of the low Gs with an A from the other set, and tuned both of these lighter strings up an octave. I really like the sound, both as a melody and a rhythm instrument:

bbce I appreciate the compliment while I don't consider myself in the JKW or Josef Scheiner leauge, remember its not about belonging to leagues but creating music that someone somewhere will enjoy listening to, which you have done a fine job of here!
I like the sound of the octave split on the dola bottom end and intend to try that, perhaps on my Gallatin when it comes back from the shop.

Thanks, glad you like it - I did it a good while ago, and of course only hear the warts.
I think you'll like the shift in tonality. Your Weber is sonically everything my Eastman would want to be, so I think it will be extra special.
A couple with my Trillium mandola (tuned CGDG). It's a fun instrument although I'm probably more comfortable on bouzouki. We're playing for a local church's video services. I can only play Nearer my God well when no one is watching
