Default Ricardo Sandoval, "Entre Las Sombras": The Hampton Trio

This is a performance of Ricardo Sandoval's beautiful "Entre las Sombras" in an arrangement for trio (mandolin, mandola in G, classical guitar) by Mark Davis. The performance took place at the open mic event at the Classical Mandolin Society of America's convention in Kalamazoo, MI, on September 24, 2022, in the presence of the composer and his spouse, Katherine Lasso, who were guest artists at the convention. Special thanks to Michael Tognetti for audio/video. The Hampton Trio is:

    Mark Davis, mandolin
    Beverly Davis, classical guitar
Robert Margo, mandola in G (octave mandolin)

Beautiful composition and beautifully played and recorded.

Yes, everything went right on this performance including the phrasing and atmospheric mood for my imagination. Very nice.

A highlight of the event, a wonderful composition expertly played. Sandoval was obviously pleased as was the whole audience.
