Mandolin Metal Solos
Hey everyone!
I've been transcribing and recording videos of popular metal solos played on the mandolin, and I've decided to make just one thread here to share them all. I've done three so far and will post more as I record them. Let me know what you think!

Re: Mandolin Metal Solos
Very cool Tommy, though I doubt "cool" is used much in Metaldom. Thanks for pushing the mando envelope. I see your 6 string axes in the vids - question, how does playing metal on the mando differ from the guitar? Do you ever hear any bluegrass trying to break free?!? Keep it up!

Re: Mandolin Metal Solos
Thanks for listening! Yeah it's pretty different playing these solos on mandolin. The main thing being that you can't bend notes so you have to slide everything. Also other things like pinch harmonics, dive bombs, tapping, etc. are a no go!
