I'm trying to learn standard notation for a GDAE tuned tenor guitar. Appreciate any resource recommendations.

You could use methods written for tenor banjo tuned in GDAE, which will be mostly for Irish music. Only method I could recommend is by Enda Scahill. He's also ver good on pick direction. The books use both tabs and partitions, somyou could use it any way you like. If you prefer to play other music, you could also try methods for mandolins, which is the same tuning but just an octave higher.
