    Default Pharis and Jason Romero

I just heard this song on NPR the other day. They sound real nice. Then watching the video I thought wait a minute that mandolin player looks familiar. They definitely have a good class of friends to help them out.

Good vibe and Jason is playing that nouveau old time three finger banjo style that started with John Hartford. Each has their own take. John has been playing more old time and lifting the expectations of what can be done with the mandolin in old time.

Love these two. Great harmonies and super tasteful playing. Add john to the mix and it's a bonus for all of us.

They were at our local bluegrass festival a few years ago, Bluewaters. They are very good and a great story.
