There was this one attributed to the Larson brothers: https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/t...Reverse-Scroll

However I seem to recall a modern Japanese maker who made a F-style mandolin with a stroll that turned the opposite way. I thought it might have been Acoustic World / Iwamoto but I can’t seem to find any images of one.

I see this thread was started about a luthier who made another reverse scroll mandolin: https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/t...verse-mandolin

Thanks, guys! Good old MC Hive Mind - a resource like no other.

I can't quite see from the photo of the Unicorn & Mustang, whether there's a gap in the body scroll to permit threading a string or leather lace through in order to use it for a strap. That is, after all, the only utilitarian value of a scroll.

I'm trying to adjust my first impression of reverse scrolls. They're just so unlike what I'm used to seeing, it's hard to unlearn that.

I can get Vegemite locally as well at Giant and Wegman's here in Philaburbia. My wife uses it in mince pies. We listen to Sweeney Todd when we make them.

So, is this a reverse reverse? Does that make it a forward again? Or is it the real Jimi Hendrix mandolin? As opposed to ...
