Default Teens? Gibson oval hole A at Goodwill Finds

There's an old Gibson at Goodwill's new website:
    https://www.goodwillfinds.com/travel...000-57689.html

It looks pretty early to me but I can't read the writing on the label. It needs quite a bit of work and the price is too high, but interesting nonetheless.
I guess I'll just stay right here, pick and sing a while...

It is a Sheraton brown A-2 which debuted in 1917 or 1918. The number may begin with 61xxx which would be about 1920.

Like 90% of everything Goodwill sells, It is VERY OVERPRICED, especially for what should be marked PROJECT.
I stopped looking at Goodwill, a ling time ago, when I could buy new for less than much of what Goodwill was selling!

For $1,500 (wonder if he would take a little less) I prefer this (Factory re-necked)... https://www.mandolincafe.com/ads/195327#195327
probably cause I'm getting too old to want to fix 'em... would rather play 'em.

Great Googly Moogly there are a lot of Gibson mandolins (and others) available, for sale, in the classified! It's like old times. Is there a recession going on?
