Default “Gibson style” used Craigslist mandolin

I’m considering getting out to Alexandria to try this mandolin, but I’m unsure if it’s worth the time and effort— does a repaired headstock ear typically cause major tonal issues? I saw this instrument on Craigslist when I was last looking for a new mandolin this past spring, it looks like it was relisted recently. I know in the end playing it is the only way to know if it’s worth anything, but just thought I would ask here for a general read on it before I commit to making the trek. I’m in the market for a backup instrument.

This is NOT a Gibson mandolin, but a very inexpensive import.

Yes it’s clearly not a Gibson, not expecting a Gibson or anything close to one, just wondering if it looks like it’s even worth the time and gas, etc.

It looks just like a '70's Hondo that I bought for $50 years ago. It was not much of a mandolin. If it was me, I wouldn't waste the time/money.

If I were you, I would pass. It is not worth the asking price.
