But look like wood underneath? That would probably be a polyurethane finish. The headstock looks like a Tacoma, reasonable decent mid-line instruments from the '90s & '00s. Tacoma was bought by Fender and then disappeard.

Tacoma's teardrop "paisley" soundhole, toward the upper treble bout (if there was one!) was a thing, but I don't recall having seen a Tacoma arch-top / f-hole of any kind.
