Smile Roaring Train - Mississippi Tornado Song - Mandolin Strum

This is my first song using my new Kentucky KM 156. I had a Rogue, and the Kentucky sounds better, but I'm learning Mandolin, so I probably do not do it justice. This song is in its second draft and called "Roaring Train."

I've gotten some feedback about my timing and vocal melody. How I render files needs to be better as well. This sounds better on cell phone than a desktop. And sounds better on a desktop than a Smart Television.

I do originals to help learning be fun, but also rework some classics and do covers. Strum songs. I'm still learning though. Keep it in mind. but I'll take any input at all. Appreciate it. I'll post lyrics and then link.

    Lyrics

    It was two thirty-nine,
    On a night shift.
    When from down the line,
    Came the boss man.

    And through machine gears,
    came his shout,
    A tornado cut through town
    So, I clocked out

As he said in a bitter-fit,
It came like a roaring train,
    Full of piss and spit,
    Twisting up everythang.

Our Favorite Cedar, Oak, and maple too,
    All the trees were up-root.
With the Mississippi rain flood’n through,
A big hole in the kitchen roof.

    My heart in overdrive,
    Beneath that dark sky,
    But from that broke door,
    Came my beautiful wife-

    She said in a hissy-fit,
It came like a roaring train,
    Full of piss and spit,
    Twisting up everythang.

    But I was so thrilled,
    She was still alive,
    And no one was killed,
    When that tornado passed bye.

I say in a crying fit,
It came like a roaring train,
    Full of piss and spit,
    Twisting up everythang.
