Default Seems like LMII is going out of business

I hate to see it, but I went order some stuff for my next build from Luthier's Mercantile Intl. and after shooting them a question they told me they are going out of business and closing the doors in the next few weeks.

They do have a bunch of stuff marked down to clear out and I believe they are selling off a lot of their shop equipment.

I have to say I am disappointed.

But hey, with everything on sale, if you need something, check their site. ... 35% off their mandolin tuning machines!

Yeah, unfortunately. They announced it a couple months ago.

A fairly large swath of the site is currently 35% off.

Somebody needs to to step up to fill the void in pre-slotted fretboards.

Yes they will. But for a single board, it will be expensive: $4.50 prep charge + $11 slotting charge + $25 small job charge = $40.50. Prices do go down quite a bit if you order multiple boards.

But since LMI is only charging $7 total to slot a board, I'm going to miss them.

I hope that someone with a CNC machine will offer a price closer to LMI.
