Thread: Strap buttons/solution for vintage mando (Newbie question)

Default Strap buttons/solution for vintage mando (Newbie question)

I'm cleaning and restoring a Washburn Model 1934-24 Style F (from '25, if I'm not mistaken) and I'm wondering what the best strap solution would be. Should I get strap buttons and attach them myself (and if so, what do you recommend?) or is there some strap arrangement used back then that eludes me?

Here's a pic of the tail piece are for reference, though I can certainly provide better pictures if need be. The screw hole in the lower center of the tail piece was empty when I bought it.

Take a look at this. Two options with pictures.
