Default Buzzing and humidity on MDO 305

Received the octave mandolin which sounded good out of the case. Having been keeping it in a humidifier room with a 45% humidity level it buzzes from the 5 fret onward. Am I right in assuming it was never set up right and the proper humidity level and so has generated a buzz. My understanding is that the I strums t should e kept and set up at the appropriate humidity range.

    Thoughts?

The humidity in which the setup is made is the humidity of the shop in which it is done, and the area on the country that the shop is in. If it is sent to a different climate then after time to acclimate, it may need to be set up again. Did it come from a humid area?

Could be that the neck relief needs tweaking, or that some frets need leveling, or the bridge or nut heights need adjusting.

In any event, it’s definitely the worth the time and money to take it to get setup by a pro.

1st off, I apologize for the horribly written post.

2ndly, yes I believe I need to get this mandolin set-up under the proper conditions.

Thanks to those who replied with the encouraging advice.
