I have a Pava A5 Pro and I love it. People say there is not much difference in the sound of an A vs F, I suspect the playability and build would be the same. If you are not set on Satin there is an A5 Player from a cafe supporting for $3,999. I have no affiliation I have just seen it available. https://themandolinstore.com/product...onde-tortoise/
I played a Pava F at Sylvan earlier this year, and I thought that its tone was a bit better than the Pava A’s I’ve played there. However, I’d ask about the serial numbers of the two that you are interested in. Since her mandos keep getting better, I wouldn’t be surprised if a new A sounded better than a used F if the F was one of her early ones.

Do you have $2000 worth of love for the scroll? If so, then the F.
Do you need the bluegrass scroll or are you going to play mandolin? Either one should be OK, to real fine.
I realize you have already decided, but.
A. If you are not eternally blessedly married to having the scroll, the answer is always A-style.
Great choice, the Collings. Now, let the strap button debate commence anew!
