Re: Pieces form Christmas Oratorio by J.S. Bach
Thank you Toomas; I have sung these in my time as a choral musician and it is wonderful to hear them on the mandolin. I am curious (and very impressed!) about the contrapuntal lines in Bereite dich Zion: I am guessing you took the melodic line and added the continuo line, is that correct? This adds so much to the resulting harmonic feel, not to mention the technical demands on your playing. I dream of going back to my choirs (retired now) and performing Bach with a mandolin orchestra.
