Default Rest in peace - Bob Page has passed

Posting this on behalf of a friend of the family. As many of you are aware, Bob Page was a frequent name in the Classifieds and posted a lot of instruments and was a true friend to the mandolin community. I received a note from him a few days before Christmas wishing us a happy holiday season, etc. A great guy with a lasting legacy who will be fondly remembered by many.

    ----------

We just received this news from Tim Page - I'm pretty much in shock and disbelief right now...my oldest Brother Bob who was the driving force at Buffalo Brothers Guitars passed away on Christmas Eve. I just haven't the words to explain how I feel that would honor him as my Big Brother. RIP Bob, I'll miss you greatly.

    Oh my.
A very dear loved one of mine passed away on x-mas eve also, yet many years ago. A year later x-mas time saw the advent of a new loved one. I take that as a consoling sign.

May Bob Page rest easy. I encountered him as a nice man.

Bob brokered the sale of unique (or at least quite rare) B&D guitar that I feel lucky to have. It definitely increased the rhinestone content of my own musical life, figuratively and literally. He was a pleasure to deal with before and after that transaction. Thanks for sharing this sad news, Scott.

Sorry to hear. I just had a few correspondences with Bob a short time ago. I know how fast these things can happen, so sad.

    Mercy.

Thanks for sharing this sad and shocking news.

While I had no personal connections with him, I was in constant amazement at the variety and quality of mandolins that Bob regularly posted for sale on the classifieds here.

And I enjoyed the colorful descriptions that he included.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I'll deeply miss his contributions here.

RIP. I never had any correspondence with Bob, but I always enjoyed the instruments he posted in the classifieds. Some cool and obscure instruments.

Hard to believe, I bought my '54 F12 from Bob and chatted with him about many others, he was so patient, kind and helpful. I just had an email conversation with him on Dec 20 about a mandolin he had for sale. I will miss talking to him, my condolences to his family and close friends.

    Dang!
I know we all gotta go but too soon for this wonderful man who had the craziest and most diverse collection of mandolins and other stuff. Whenever something different or exotic showed up in the classified I'd figger it was Bob.

I had a few email chats with him and was charmed by his humility and knowledge.

Peace and most grateful affection to his family and friends.

Wishing peace for his family. Never dealt with him, but always liked looking at his listings both here and on Gbase. Plus, back in my guitar days loved looking at the Buffalo Bros. website. They always had so many cool instruments.
