    Default Nick Smith, Ludo Guitars

I haven't posted on here for a few years... Long-term depression got in the way, coupled with a Covid related heart attack 18 months ago... just the usual stuff that happens in life... no sympathy needed... I'm fine now

Anyhows, I thought some of you might be interested in this Nick Smith, Ludo Guitars Drophorn Tenor Tele, which will be arriving in the UK from Canada sometime in February. It's a retirement present to myself, and my first Tenor. Don't know if Nick has posted on here before; he's a young (compared to me) builder from New Brunswick who has a classical guitar degree and runs a Music Therapy Business. Mine will be his number 15 instrument, and it looks a beauty. Black Limba body, Birdseye roasted Maple reverse heastock neck, Katalox fretboard, and twin Firebird style humbuckers. Love how it's sounding in his Instagram demo video; just the kind of mellow, slightly jazzy sound I wanted with the neck pickup. He has his number 14 (same wood and pickup specs as mine, but different finish) up for sale on Reverb.com. Great prices for a custom spec instrument, even with shipping, duty and VAT to the UK. I expect his prices will rise as he perfects his craft. Really pleased with how this one has turned out...

These days, you'd be hard pushed to find a decent Fender Alternative Reality Tenor Tele at those prices... and this is custom!

Btw, the pic is pre finished; the vid shows the string tree fitted etc...

I also purchased one of Nicks fine instruments.
Great sound, excellent fit and finish. Nick is an all round, nice guy, with a passion for his craft.
Top quality components and a very enticing price.
Base price at the time of this post was approx 1K Canadian dollars.
