    Default Sam Grisman in Seattle

Just went to see Sam Grisman last Sunday at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle - and holy cow, what a show. David Grisman sat in with them for about half the show and they played lots of Grisman / Garcia and Dawg tunes. So great to see Grisman at a live event again!

Here's a better video of it than I got haha https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...L3ctiQWa35poOz

BTW, Sam's band is great. They played some real funky tunes with a great groove. Alex Hargreaves is top notch too!

Great to see Dawg. I took a class from David at the first Mandolin Symposium and I am not sure who enjoyed the class the most…Dawg or his students! His heart was truly in teaching. ‘Twas a really fun class with lots of his knowledge shared with us.

    Thanks for sharing, Matt.

Really amazing stuff. Is that an h-4 or an f-4 he's playing?

I've got my tickets for when they hit my city in March. I'm sure we won't get a Dawg sit-in.

I'm also curious as to the other band members are. When I read the blurb on the venue site, it sounds like he is going to have somewhat of a rotating cast, but I don't know if that is right or not.

I caught their show when they played on the Oregon coast. No Dawg for that one. Their show was heavy on Dead music and lighter on the Dawg stuff, or so it seemed to me. Great show, lots of fun.
