I'm thinking $600 might be a little high for this as a project.

It's ugly and rough, but the parts (tuners and tailpiece) are worth the opening bid -- if someone needs them...

"All original" so bound to fly pricewise! The added ironmongery adds patina of age and it is clearly "well-loved" which is a favourite euphemism. I expect it will go higher.

Seems like some of these projects go for as much as a playable instrument of the same vintage. ?? don't know what that's about.

While I agree with that, it looks like a worthy project if it could be had for a few hundred. The tuners and case (if it's in good shape) do have value beyond trivial.

    Yes, good point I suppose.

A 1907 A3 in good condition is a thing of beauty. I can't get enough of the pickguard on this one. I think it is worth restoring in a moral sense if not a financial one.

Well, not THIS case. It's a canvas one with the end closure secured by a strap.

"The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended."

MAY have? COSMETIC wear? I yi yi!

While it may be fully operational and function as intended, it's got issues, and the bolt is not the only one. Wonder if this might belong in the "won't get a bid or buyer" thread ...

I had to look, and it's the only thing musical ever listed by the seller. From the mix of auto and snowmobile parts to Lego kits (possible parts missing?), et al. I'm guessing they might not be following this thread, but may be getting excited by the number of views....

I have to admit that though I told myself I'd never find a use for the "Word Daily" offering a while back, this [list of items sold by that seller] is a veritable "gallimaufry" created from I don't know what... flea-market flnds? late-relative's garage contents? ?

By the original seller, at the original opening bid of $600. Despite the statement in the original listing that the seller does not accept returns. Something happened there.

I would reckon the buyer welshed on the deal and failed to pay. There was a very nice 40s Kay Venetian mandolin for sale recently where that happened twice and the seller listed it again with a strong message. Looked like a very good example but it did sell but I think the seller just finished the auction with the first bid as it ended early- did not want to tempt fate!
