Default Mandolin Player of the Day: Robert Margo

Every year the German government chooses a musical instrument and declares it to be the "Year of the [instrument]". 2023 is the "Year of the Mandolin". The German mandolinist Michael Reichenbach (who posts here from time to time) maintains a large website (in German) on the mandolin, and each day this year he is featuring a different person as the "Mandolin Player of the Day" -- so far, many players from different countries and different styles. He posts the selection to Facebook and Instagram and a longer profile on his website.

Yours truly is today's (February 25) mandolin player of the day and I am thrilled and honored! Here is a link to the profile on Michael's website:

Mandolaspieler of the day on the instrument of the year! Pretty cool. People should know of the work you do in the Classical Mandolin world as well as your fine playing. Congratulations.
