Default One of the last Paddlehead A Jrs?

There's a 1924 A Jr. in the Classifieds with a Paddlehead configuration. I thought '24 was well into the Snakehead A-style period, but clearly I was wrong. But this one might literally be among the last batch of Paddlehead A Jrs, considering the serial number is 74997, while A Jr. #75097 is a Snakehead.

Just interesting to see when the headstock style switched over for that particular model.

I believe they switched back to the paddlehead or at least sold them in both flavors at the end.

    Yup.

Indeed! Here's the last Snakehead A Jr currently listed in the Mandolin Archive with a serial number 3000 past these (return to) Paddlehead headstock instruments.

Well I don't mean to hijack this thread (and I should search the archives and then possibly create a new thread), but I'll ask here for some help from anyone with the knowledge or access to Spann's to help me out: I've got, in my hands, my snakehead A-jr (a real peach, btw!) that is serial number 82726, not in The Archive, and which I'd previously understood to have been built in 1927. Can anyone support or refute this birth year, and/ or possibly offer me any other info/ speculation? I have not tried to check the FON, but could...

    Thanks!

👆Check the FON. The serial number refers to the time of shipping.

The FON is everything. Not all FONS are listed but you can generally get real close.
