Thread: Where are the workshops this Spring/Summer/Fall?

Default Where are the workshops this Spring/Summer/Fall?

I'm located in Southwest Ohio and wanting to plan several road trips to attend mandolin (Irish/Folks/Bluegrass/Jazz) workshops.

Where might I find a listing of upcoming events? Also, any that you would recommend for a fledgling mandolin player?

    Thanks in advance.

There might be availability open for the Floyd Old Time Get Together in Floyd Virginia. The three day workshop features Caleb Klauder and the rest of the Fog Horn String Band. It starts on March 23rd. Checkout https://handmademusicschool.com/old-...-get-together/ for details. My wife and I went last year and it is one of the best events we have ever attended. I highly recommend it. We are headed there again this year.

Hi Randy! Not sure how long a road trip you're interested in doing, but I am helping to run a weekend mandolin festival in New Hampshire in May that should be right up your alley. A variety of styles are represented and it's very beginner-friendly! You can read more about it here: https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/t...-in-Concord-NH
