    Default Regal Tiple-Needs Help

I have the same purfling on a 1920s Regal guitar but Jake Wildwood has one in his "museum" section that confirms its maker. This needs a lot of help, I think. It has a tailpiece- an L&H style example which may have been added later.

This is the one Jake shows with no tailpiece: https://jakewildwood.blogspot.com/20...nts-tiple.html

This one Jake shows has that L& H tailpiece as well which he says he as added to it: https://jakewildwood.blogspot.com/20...any-tiple.html

I think you’re right about a lot of help. Jake writes that these are lightly built, so internal beefing up needed, not just neck setting. The added tailpiece is, if not factory, related to weak bridge strength, but even that is pulling the bridge up. Good project material if economics not important, and skill level is fairly high. Not me!
