    Default my homemade mandolin

I just finished making another mandolin. I used Graham McDonald’s book as a guide.
This is the second one I have made using his book.

Looks great, and the case too. Can we assume some Celtic interest in your playing too?

Looks good. Is it the carved top or flat top version?
As Richard said, I like the case too.

In addition to the other comments I like the blue binding!

    Nice job!

Looks good, Lappy. Nice to see you back. I've missed your musical contributions.
Robert Johnson's mother, describing blues musicians:
"I never did have no trouble with him until he got big enough to be round with bigger boys and off from home. Then he used to follow all these harp blowers, mandoleen (sic) and guitar players."

I think today's mandolins do look pretty with all those sunbursts and stain but I really like the look of natural wood. I trust that bluewood binding was sustainably grown and harvested and no spotted owls were harmed in the process -- .

Seriously, I do like it. Nice job on mando and bag.

Nice work. Graham McDonald's book is a great resource for those of us making a start on mandolin making!

    Thanks Bob!
    It’s the “flat top”.
