    Probably for good reason. I would inspect in person or have a conversation with instrument in hand as to what work it needs. Sounds like it needs a bunch of work to insure it will stay together for years. Not sure if this is a bargain or a potential money pit.

    If you play it and it plays well and seems solid and you're hell bent on owning an F2 and you don't care about how it looks then this is probably a good deal for you. Beyond that I'm with Jim. This could cost you some money depending on the other issues.

    Hopefully for the buyer it's stable.

    Agree with the above sentiments - the price tag could double in a worse-case scenario.

    Possibly a luthier bought it. Only costing their time to get it up to scratch.
