If it is sticky, "dragging", or otherwise acting too viscose, add a little mineral spirits.
The one time I finished a mandolin with only Truoil it took too many coats and too much time to build, so I went back to building with varnish.
Thanks. I'm going to revisit using Truoil again. I hadn't thought of adding mineral spirits when it sticks. I managed to topcoat one mandolin with it years ago. I really like the look it gave over the oil varnish finish. Time to do some more testing.
