    Post WARDS Mandolin with Resonator

    Hi All

I got this Mandolin from my grandfather. I was wondering if anyone has seen one like this before? I can’t find any information online. There is a sticker on the inside that says “WARDS”. Any clue on possible date and manufacturer?

I will attach a couple of pictures

    Thank you
    Chris

It was probably made by Regal for Montgomery Ward in the mid 30s or so. If you show the tuner units that might help date it. This is from the 1937 catalogue- a slightly different model. Wards did advertise a "Dobro" guitar in the same catalogue. I don't know much about resonators but it is probably the same as a Dobro model.
