    Default Blessed

    I am so blessed...

In the parking lot today my neighbor living directly below me flagged me down and came over to say how much she loved the music I play!
I play fairly loud electric guitar in addition to tons of mandolin music

Then tonight the neighbor across from me sent a text at 11:30pm...
"A very warm and welcome sound tonight! thanks homie. We need music. ❤️"

I am honored to be a part of the chain of Love.

Call me a wet blanket, but what about the other neighbors who might not want to hear the sound of someone else's loud music? The ones who say nothing but just suffer in silence.

I'm very glad you got some kudos for your music, we all need that from time to time. I'm not raining on that. It's just that I always think of the other people who like peace and quiet, who may be too shy to complain or say anything, like myself. Those people might not consider it a chain of love to be subjected to loud guitar at random times.

If your situation is unique, and these people who contacted you with their appreciation are the only neighbors you have, or all other neighbors have also given their approval, then I do honestly and humbly apologize for voicing my concerns. Forget I said anything.

Otherwise, taking pride in subjecting others to your music who might not want to be subjected to it, is something I hope not to do. Although I'm sure I have been guilty of it sometime in the past!

I certainly wouldn’t criticize you, Chris, for voicing your opinion. It’s good to have different perspectives.

And Billy, thanks for sharing. It’s always awesome to get positive feedback on our music.

You must live in a very "liberal" community. Where I live the neighbors start calling the police at 8pm and the police show up at 9pm. They are always nice, but tell us we have to quit for the night. And, I understand we are pushing the limits, but we have no other options as there are no practice spaces for rent in our area.

Our little band practices every Tuesday night and we are plugged in and use a PA system. My neighbor's dogs will sometimes start barking. I have never complained about the dogs to my neighbor.
