Default Help Pricing My Lebeda Mandolin

Hello Folks. Considering selling my Lebeda Premium Plus Fern F-Style mandolin. Im still not sure I want to part with it, as I love it, but I have been playing more guitar lately and have more than one mando. I would say condition is very good to excellent. No real dings or scratches, but some light fretwear as it has been played. Its really a beautiful instrument. I have poked around on Reverb and this forum, but these Lebedas are somewhat uncommon and pricing seems a bit challenging. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

    Hi,

I’ve had 2 Lebeda’s in my time, plus a Stelling that was made by him for them. I think they are good mandolins.

Value may be dependant on where you’re based. If you were in the Uk I would guess at somewhere around £2.5k - £3k tops, if it’s a good one. The ones that were made when he was a one man shop( pre-2002?) seem better instruments, than those in the years up to 2006 when I believe he subcontracted some of the work. After 2006 I think he made very few.

Some of the latter ones had issues with the abalone work on the headstocks.

    Hope this helps

    Regards,
