This is my arrangement of “Coquette”, composition for solo mandolin by Ernest-Louis Patierno (1863-1929)
It is originally a one-voice piece. At the end of the form parts, there are the chords GDBG and the intervals FD and EC to consolidate the harmony. Again, my priority is the composer's original melody. In dealing with one-voice melody with no chords and chord marks, is exciting to try to guess what kind of harmony has sounded in the composer's mind.
The maestro dedicated this piece to his student Jeanne Laporte
