    Default “Coquette” by Ernest-Louis Patierno

This is my arrangement of “Coquette”, composition for solo mandolin by Ernest-Louis Patierno (1863-1929)
It is originally a one-voice piece. At the end of the form parts, there are the chords GDBG and the intervals FD and EC to consolidate the harmony. Again, my priority is the composer's original melody. In dealing with one-voice melody with no chords and chord marks, is exciting to try to guess what kind of harmony has sounded in the composer's mind.
The maestro dedicated this piece to his student Jeanne Laporte

A beautiful melody and lovely harmonising, Toomas. You get so much out of that instrument and especially with your hybrid picking.
I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order. - Eric Morecambe

Thank you, John! When I designed these arrangements, I thought I would make them as simple as possible so that those who wanted to play these arrangements would have an easier time doing so. But I couldn't resist the joy of enriching this great music and I still made these settings as I usually do. I'm glad you like it!
