Not to derail , and I am rather fond of the Darol Anger Version on E & A, though it is more bluegrassy than old time. Both of these are great and really celebrate the integrity of the tune.

Working With Frank Delorenzo on virtual collaborations we lay out a basic structure, tempo over email and then usually send a scratch track to develop the part, when ready one sends the "backing track' to the other (we kind of trade off on this), and then someone does the final mix.
