Looking for any price and/or history info on this mandolin please

My son purchased this used about 15(?) years ago. I know it didn't cost too much, but we can't recall the price. A friend's son is interested in learning to play and I would like to know what you think I should charge her for it. I can't find any information about it other than it was most likely made in Japan or Korea and distributed by US Musical Merchandise Corp, NY. Any idea what year? Is it basically a beginner instrument? Any info will be appreciated! Thanks

It's one of these. It was an instrument that was brought into this country under dozens, maybe hundreds of brand names. It is very much a low-end instrument and they fail to sell weekly on eBay. With that said in decent shape you could ask $50.00 to $75.00, basically the cost of a Rogue branded mandolin on sale.

Yes - but I've played a number of these over the years and once in a while, one sounds pretty good. They never will be valuable, and odds are your is one of the typical "meh" sounding ones, but your friend might be lucky!
