Thread: Bourgeois rectangular case - who?

Default Bourgeois rectangular case - who?

    Greetings.
Does anyone know who makes the Bourgeois A-style rectangular case ? I'd very much like to obtain one for my '04 Weber Bridger. Its case is getting a bit long in the tooth.
    Thanks kindly.

P.S. - Bruce Weber just provided a neck and fret job, and playing the instrument now has me grinning like a fool (moreso than usual).

Rectangular cases seem to be rare (anymore, at least). Eastman has used them for their higher end models (the 815v I had came in one) but I don't know if you can get one new. There are some different ones in the used market, and I saw a new Washburn branded one on Amazon.

Some of those [rectangular] cases do have more wear points, like zippers (had replaced on my Eastman case), so I'd probably want to have a used one in hand as shipping costs will eat up any savings if you have to send it back.

There are Access Stage Three Mandolin cases. The mandolin in my avatar has been resting comfortably in one of these for 15 years.
All my life I wanted to be somebody, now I realize I should have been more specific.

It could be GWW, a custom manufacturer of carrying cases.
I believe they produced the rectangular cases for Phoenix mandolins, as well as cases for Rigel mandolins.

If it looks like this one I'd say Eastman. They own Bourgeois.

I use my Access Stage Three whenever I take a mandolin out to hostile territory. The cushions inside are moveable so the case is suitable for A or F style mandolins.
